In this course we will explore applications of the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards (NYSCSDF) as they reinforce and support New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS), a series of performance expectations that define what students should understand and be able to do as a result of their study of science.

This course is worth 3 CTLE Hours.
Course Purpose
  • Objective 1: To learn to apply the New York State Computer Science & Digital Fluency Standards (NYSCSDF) in science to support student learning as guided by the New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS).

    Dr. Tara Nattrass ISTE & ASCD Managing Director of Innovation Strategy
    Tara collaborates with educators on reinventing learning, focusing on innovative programs and learning models, professional learning, emerging technologies, and cybersecurity. She has been actively supporting educators in navigating the integration of artificial intelligence, including serving on AI task forces and the steering committee of Teach AI.Tara also spent over 20 years serving in school districts in a variety of teaching and leadership roles, including as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for Arlington Public Schools (VA) and part-time lecturer for undergraduate and graduate students. Tara earned a Doctorate in K-12 Educational Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University. For Webinar Sessions, registered participants will receive instruction before the session starts.
