LHRIC is pleased to continue our partnership with Vriti Saraf and her organization Ed3 DAO, which aspires to upskill over 1 million educators in emerging technologies.
This course introduces educators to the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodologies. Participants will learn to leverage AI tools to enhance student engagement, facilitate personalized learning experiences, and improve project outcomes. Combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications, this course equips educators with the skills and mindset to amplify PBL experiences with AI effectively in their classrooms, fostering a dynamic, student-centered learning environment. Participants will learn to apply AI in creating immersive real-world connections, design environments that empower students to be self-directed learners, and implement reflective practices using AI as a thought partner.
This course is self paced and provided by Ed3 DAO. Registration is on a rolling basis and the course will remain active through June 30, 2026. Registrants will receive an email confirmation from people@ed3dao.com which will include instructions on how to access the course platform and contents.
Course structure:
  • Self paced, asynchronous, online with option for virtual office hours
  • Eight modules (5-5.5 hours each)
  • Three driving questions per module with video, audio, readings and activities
  • One large culminating activity at module end and a capstone at course end
  • Digital portfolio created throughout the course

By the end of the course, educators will be proficient in using AI to create dynamic classroom experiences that promote critical thinking and media literacy.

    49. 2025-26 DEI Leaders' Action Network: Advancing Equity Through the NYSED Portrait of a Graduate

    Join a powerful network of school district teams committed to advancing equity, and access in ways that transform classrooms and communities. This year, we will ground our work in Liz Kleinrock's Start Here, Start Now and connect its practical strategies directly to the New York State Portrait of a Graduate.

    Over five full-day sessions, district teams will:

    1.Engage in deep professional learning on equity-centered leadership and culturally responsive-sustaining practices.

    2. Participate in guided book study discussions and collaborative activities that link Start Here, Start Now to Portrait of a Graduate attributes.

    3. Design and refine a district-specific DEI initiative anchored to one of the six Portrait attributes.

    4. Receive targeted support and coaching to move from concept to actionable implementation.

    5. Showcase their work and leave with a clear action plan for 2026-2027.



    By the end of the year, each team will have:

    -Selected a Portrait of a Graduate attribute to anchor their DEI work.

    -Designed and tested a district-specific initiative that advances equity and belonging in their school community.

    This professional learning workshop series is a collaboration between the SWBOCES School Library System and the Hudson Valley Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (HV RBERN). It is designed to promote teamwork between ENL teachers and School Librarians from the same school or district. School Librarians and ENL teachers should register to attend together as a team for all sessions.

    Participants will collaborate to develop an event or initiative for ELLs that includes literacy components and recognition of student achievements. Participants will be provided with strategies and support to develop a strong foundation for a successful partnership.

    Session 1 Newcomers to the series: (October 28, 8:30-2:30 PM) The morning session will include introductory presentations and activities designed to give participants a better understanding of each other's roles, as well as strategies to develop a successful partnership. The afternoon session will include highlights of recent Dynamic Duo events, a discussion of funding and family engagement resources, and prep time to begin collaborative work.

    Returning partnerships: (October 28, 12:30-2:30 PM) An afternoon working session will include highlights of past participants' work, discussion of funding and family engagement resources, and prep time to begin collaborative work.

    Session 2 (January 29, 8:30-2:30 PM) Working session for all teams to continue developing their plans. Participants will engage in a feedback activity and receive support from SLS and RBERN staff.

    Session 3 (March 26, 8:30-2:30 PM) Participants will review and share their experiences and discuss ideas for continued collaboration with their partners.
