This training is designed for school-based threat assessment teams to answer key questions on establishing threat assessment processes within your school, district and community. This training will not only explore questions related to the principles of threat assessment such as behaviors, communication, and follow-up, but it will also focus on training the teams in the use of the evidence-based Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines tool established by Dr. Dewey Cornell and apply it to real world scenarios. A school triage team includes, at the minimum, an administrator, a mental health professional, and a school resource officer or other law enforcement representative. We STRONGLY encourage schools and districts to have ALL triage team members attend on the same date. There will be exercises and case studies that teams will work through together to help establish their own processes and protocols.
*Pre-Requisite : Initial Threat Assessment Team Workshop (CSTAG)* This advanced training has been developed for administrators and clinicians who have previously completed the initial CSTAG training. This training provides attendees with a toolkit to be used in all phases of the interview process when administering a behavioral threat assessment. Additionally, this training will provide hands-on experience and resources to help assist teams in developing an action plan for interviewing all potential subjects, witnesses and targets. Lastly, techniques and resources for triaging and logistics will be provided.

In a world where information is abundant, but understanding is scarce, the ability to think critically is more essential than ever. "Educating for the Unknown” invites educators and professionals to explore how uncertainty, ambiguity, and complexity can be powerful catalysts for deeper learning and stronger decision-making. Rooted in the theme "Science of the Unknown,” this interactive workshop equips participants with tools to navigate uncertainty, solve novel problems, challenge assumptions, evaluate evidence, and ask better questions. From the classroom to the boardroom, you'll learn how to cultivate a mindset that embraces uncertainty not as a threat-but as a space for innovation, inquiry, and growth. By the end of this workshop, participants will be equipped with: A deeper understanding of the critical thinking skills necessary for adaptability and thriving in the unknown, applicable to both learning and professional contexts. A toolkit of practical strategies and activities to cultivate these skills in their respective environments. Increased confidence in their ability to design learning experiences and professional development initiatives that prepare individuals for future challenges. Who should attend? This workshop is designed for educators across all levels (K-12, higher education), curriculum developers, instructional designers, administrators, corporate trainers, learning and development professionals, managers, leaders, and anyone interested in empowering individuals with the essential thinking skills for navigating a complex and evolving world.
