Multilingual students' linguistic practices have historically been framed as deficient and in need of remediation. In this asynchronous course, participants will examine how these ideologies permeate across academic contexts. Additionally, participants will explore strategies to amplify students' linguistic practices in the classroom.

In this asynchronous (not live) course in Google Classroom, participants will explore a variety of writing strategies to support ELLs at various proficiency levels. This will include work at the word, sentence, paragraph, and text level inspired by both The Writing Revolution and Writer's Workshop.

4. RBERN #64 - NYSESLAT - CTLE#23007

In this hybrid course, you will learn everything you need to know to successfully administer the NYSESLAT from intake, to testing, to placement. This course will take approximately 3 hours. Pre course work and Quiz must be completed prior to the Zoom Q&A session.

This training is for educators new to administering NYSESLAT and for educators wanting to refresh and calibrate their understanding of the NYSESLAT.
