Audience: ENL Teachers
Dates: 11/30/2023
ESOL Teachers who participate in this Share Group will:
1) Share lessons, activities, resources, curriculum, and instructional strategies,
2) Expand and enrich their English as a New Language (ENL) programs at the elementary level,
3) Discuss and review NYS regulations and their implications for ESOL teachers,
4) Create a community of professional learners,
5) Increase their knowledge of collaboration and co-teaching techniques and strategies.
Anticipated Items: A Q&A session with an RBERN Specialist, curriculum and current practice resources, ENL Open House, ENL Literacy Night, Multilingual Family Night, and Multicultural Night suggestions, NYSESLAT ideas for successful implementation (scheduling, organizing, etc.), professional development presentation thoughts and ideas for school faculty and staff, personal Google email to create a Share Group Google Classroom of resources and ideas.
CTLE credits will be awarded based on attendance. Based on participation - partial credits can be awarded
Please Note - all sessions required a minimum enrollment of 5 participants to run. If there are fewer than 5 participants pre-registered, we will cancel the event with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
