Description: Reading Specialists' Network 2024-2025 Over the 4 sessions this year, we will continue to grow this Professional Learning Community centered around the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy (A Professional Learning Community, or PLC, is a group of educators that meets regularly, shares expertise, and works collaboratively to improve teaching skills and the academic performance of students).

THEMES for the 4 Sessions in 2024-2025:

October 18, 2024: Assessment in a K-8 Comprehensive Literacy Program

December 13, 2024: Progression of Phonological and Phonemic Awareness Skills and Phonics Instruction for the Decoding of Multisyllabic Words

THIS SESSION February 14, 2025: Techniques and Methods for Building Reading Fluency and Morphology Instruction for Development of Vocabulary

April 25 or May 2, 2025: Explicit Comprehension Strategy Instruction and Building Background Knowledge

Registration Fee: No fee Delaware County Schools (supported through PDE funding), $62 out of county registrants, payable via Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard only) or Purchase Order. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR CREDIT. Register by 2/20/25
