The New York State Regional Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Fall Training Sessions are intended for school/district-level administrators and will focus on administrative and software preparation for computer-based testing. 7. Distance Learning Practitioners Meeting (January 2025)

As the year rushes to the end and a new beginning, it is time again to plan on gathering with your fellow Distance Learning Teachers and Classroom Facilitators in January. We are, as always, truly thankful to work with each of you in providing students opportunities otherwise unavailable to them.

We encourage you to join us at the Distance Learning Practitioners Meeting, to allow veteran DL Practitioners (teachers and classroom facilitators), those new to the DL environment, and even those simply curious about the DL network, to continue sharing experiences; your successes, common pain points, and how you are helping to grow the DL program in all of the various learning environments.

The January Distance Learning Practitioners Meeting will be an in-person event held on Friday, January 24th from 12:30pm to 2:00pm at NERIC - 900 Watervliet-Shaker Road in Albany. We will be providing lunch at 12:00pm, so be sure to arrive by noon at NERIC in Albany! A virtual option will be made available upon request.

This workshop will fulfill the training requirements for the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) as required by the New York State Education Department Board of Regents. The workshop is designed for those who are seeking a New York State Certification.

New York State's Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) seeks to provide the State's public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.

1 hour lunch break, lunch will be on your own
Participants paying by check can mail in advance payment or bring a check made out to Capital Region BOCES to the session.
