This session will equip educators and school mental health staff with the knowledge and skills to work effectively with families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Participants will explore the impact of culture on family dynamics, communication styles, and help-seeking behaviors. The session will provide practical strategies to build strong and respectful partnerships with families, enhance communication, and navigate cultural differences with sensitivity and understanding. Facilitated by Elyon Obamedo, MD., Serra Akyar, MD. And Alex El-Sehamy, MD.
NOTE: CEU Credits currently offered only to LMSW/LCSW/LMHC (Social Work) and Doctoral Level Psychologist. All other disciplines are ineligible at this time. Each course is eligible for 1.5 hours CTLE/CEU credits unless specified otherwise.
