1. Learner-Centered Strategies *CTLE Approved*

Program: School Improvement CTLE #755

Dates: 7/17/2017 to 7/19/2017

This will be an extension of the one and two day workshops the Institute has conducted throughout the North Country during the past year.

The focus will be exclusively on learner-centered strategies that teachers can implement the next day in their classrooms. There will be different strategies than the ones participants have experienced at previous workshops. Tim Bedley, Don Mesibov, and other skilled facilitators will model learner-centered strategies; participants will experience these strategies and then discuss them and share how they can use them in their classrooms.

Time will be allotted for participants to work on fall unit or lesson plans using the strategies they will have experienced.

2. Constructivist Design Conference for Educational Improvement *CTLE Approved*

Program: Constructivist Design Conference

Audience: Area Educators

Dates: 7/17/2017 to 7/21/2017

Location: Student Center

The Constructivist Design Conference is a unique professional development opportunity which will provide your district, school, parent or university team facilitated "work" time. During the conference participants will develop programs, curriculum, assessments or initiatives to benefit all student within a learner centered framework. (Your team or school selects its own task.) The conference is co-sponsored by St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES, St. Lawrence University Dept. of Education, and the Institute for Learning Centered Education.

Team and individual registration options are available, please indicate your registration option choice when registering. The $925/participant price shown is the maximum registration amount it will be adjusted based on the registration option you choose.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily by St. Lawrence University, as well as, a banquet dinner on July 21st.

The institute for Learner Centered Education will send additional conference information via regular mail. Please review it carefully and respond if necessary.

Space is limited to 40 Teams ~ First Come First Served!

The cost is $2,500 for a team of three and $575 for each additional person. Billing will reflect team discounts.
