Membership for one year ending August 31, 2020. Membership cannot be prorated. Dues are $45 for the year. HOWEVER, IF YOU SIGN UP BY SEPTEMBER 1, YOU CAN STILL PAY $40 FOR THE YEAR. You may sign up starting in August and your membership will be covered through August 31, 2020.

2. Gentle Yoga - 9-Class Fall Session

Location: Lucky Elephant Yoga Studio (New City, NY) [map]

Dates: 9/4/2019 to 12/11/2019

Gentle yoga is great for you if: you are new to yoga, are recovering from an injury, or you just want to take it slow today. The yoga postures will be presented in a slow, soothing way with attention to alignment, breathing and mindfulness. Props will be used to help the poses become more available to every body. The class will include asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing) techniques and will help you find a way to use your yoga practice to find peace and alignment in a busy world. Open to all levels, no prior yoga experience necessary. This class is taught by Bridget Peterson, an experienced yoga instructor at Lucky Elephant Yoga Studios, 132 Park Ave., New City. Wednesdays at 11:00 am on 9/4, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 12/4 & 12/11. Fee is $113/123 nonmember . Once a minimum is met, single sessions will be available for $15 each.

4. Turn of the Century Fashion Exhibit & House Tour of Acorn Hall

Location: Acorn Hall (Morristown, NJ)

Join us on a trip down memory lane as we tour the 30 winter garment exhibit spanning from the 1850's to the turn of the century. Following the fashion exhibit, join our docent for a holiday decorated house tour, and enjoy the stories that come with this lovely mansion. Following the tour, enjoy perusing and lunching on your own at one of the many restaurants in this charming town. TRANSPORTATION ON YOUR OWN! Thursday, December 19 at 11:00 at Acorn Hall, 68 Lafayette Ave., Morristown, NJ. Fee is $11/21 nonmember.

6. Holocaust by Bullets Program at Holocaust Museum @ RCC

Location: Rockland Community College (Suffern, NY) [map]

Join us for a tour of the exhibit followed up by a presentation at the Holocaust Museum and Center for Tolerance, 145 College Rd., Suffern. The Holocaust By Bullets is an exhibit documenting mass Jewish killing sites of the Holocaust in Eastern Europe. To date, 2,133 execution sites and 5,298 testimonies have been documented in the project, illuminating a model for mass violence that continues lo be prevalent in our world today. This exhibit exposes a largely unknown chapter of the Holocaust and serves to influence all societies to examine the darker recesses of history and to speak out against today's global disease of genocide.
