Membership for one year ending August 31, 2020. Membership cannot be prorated. Dues are $45 for the year. HOWEVER, IF YOU SIGN UP BY SEPTEMBER 1, YOU CAN STILL PAY $40 FOR THE YEAR. You may sign up starting in August and your membership will be covered through August 31, 2020.

2. Gentle Yoga - 10-Class Session

Location: Lucky Elephant Yoga Studio (New City, NY) [map]

Dates: 2/12/2020 to 5/27/2020

Gentle yoga is great for you if: you are new to yoga, are recovering from an injury, or you just want to take it slow today. The yoga postures will be presented in a slow, soothing way with attention to alignment, breathing and mindfulness. Props will be used to help the poses become more available to every body. The class will include asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing) techniques and will help you find a way to use your yoga practice to find peace and alignment in a busy world. Open to all levels, no prior yoga experience necessary. This class is taught by Bridget Peterson, an experienced yoga instructor at Lucky Elephant Yoga Studios, 132 Park Ave., New City. Wednesdays at 11:00 am on 2/12, 3/4, 3/11, 3/25, 4/1, 4/8, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13 & 5/27. Fee is $125/140 nonmember . Once a minimum is met, single sessions will be available for $15 each.

4. Curator-led tour of Cache of Kinetic Art at Morris Museum.

Location: Morris Museum (Morristown, NJ) [map]

Join us for a curator tour of Cache of Kinetic Art: Tiny Intricacies. The contemporary mechanical works in Tiny Intricacies may be small in size but they are designed to delight and surprise. Some of the works are traditional in their construction using materials such as wood, metal, and paint; others reflect more technological advancements, predominantly engineered utilizing electronic components. The museum features other exhibits of interest and you are free to peruse them on your own. There is an exhibit of NJ-based artist Mel Leipzig heralded is one of today's figurative realist painters. Eva Zeisel: A Century of Designing Elegance features the preeminent modern designer of mass-produced dinnerware. Finally, in celebration of Earth Day, the museum presents the installation Monarch Sanctuary - a proposal for a habitable urban structure form migrating butterflies. Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Rd., Morristown, NJ. Thursday, March 19th at 10:30 am. Fee for the curator tour is $22.
