We consider how trauma impacts a student as they interact with the school environment. Some of the research-based topics that will be included are developing relationships with teachers, identifying needs, and setting goals, exploring best practices in pedagogy, and developing PD workshops for teachers. Coaches and teacher leaders should be ready to share their expertise and experiences and be open to adding to their capacities in their role.

Additionally, research supports continuing professional development outside of the consortium to ensure the adequate amount of hours to learn and understand new or reviewed practices. Schedule a follow-up day in your district to strengthen your program resulting in the increase of student growth, learning and achievement.
