1. Teach 2 Lead Professional Development Series

Participants will be added to the regional listserv to ensure materials are shared.

3. 2025-2026 CSE/CPSE Chairpersons' Monthly Meetings

Monthly meeting of CSE/CPSE chairpersons from WSWHE component districts. This half day meeting provides critical updates for CSE/CPSE chairpersons from the BOCES and NYSED. Opportunities are also provided for collaboration, problem solving, regional planning and professional learning. A monthly newsletter with upcoming topics is sent to registrants prior to each meeting. This meeting is intended for chairpersons within the WSWHE BOCES supervisory region. 4. School Library System Council Meeting

Audience: SLS Council Members

One of four required meetings of the SLS Council. Council assists the SLS in its mission as outlined in Commissioner's Regulations 90.18 including creating and monitoring the Plan of Service, and recommending approval of the annual budget and the annual report. Updates are also provided to Council members at each meeting.

5. Wellness, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (W.I.D.E.) Regional Network

Audience: District and School Leaders designated to represent their district. Prior approval by your district's superintendent is required.

This group is for school leaders in the WSWHE BOCES Region identified as the point of contact for DEI work within the district. This group will meet to help build understandings, resources & tools for a regional approach to DEI that focuses on: Welcoming & Affirming Environments, Inclusive Curriculum & Assessment, High Expectations & Rigorous Instruction, and Ongoing Professional Learning. Regional Network meetings will focus on priorities established by the Network in Spring 2024 which include: 1) Professional Learning through book study: 2) Working Groups for the development of tools, resources, and professional learning activities to be used by network members to support local and regional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion implementation: Prioritized focus areas for 2025 - 2026 include: Data & Equity Reporting; Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment; Recruitment, Hiring & Retention Practices; Elevating Student Voices 3) Sharing of promising practices & supporting the extension of learning to others in the region.

The LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) Suite is professional learning that provides educators and administrators with deep knowledge to be literacy and language experts in the science of reading. Developed by renowned literacy experts Dr. Louisa Moats, Dr. Carol Tolman, and Dr. Lucy Hart Paulson, it is a flexible literacy professional learning solution for educators and administrators. LETRS teaches the skills needed to master the fundamentals of reading instruction-phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and language. This is a two year cohort model. The 2025-2026 SY includes units 1-4 and the 2026-2027 SY includes units 5-8.

8. Pathways to Leadership 2025-2026: Cohort Learning Series

Audience: Teachers and Related Service Professionals (Guidance Counselors, CSE Chairs etc.)

The Pathways to Leadership Collaboration exists to address a number of issues in educational leadership. Primarily, we are attempting to address both the shortage and quality of candidates for formal leadership roles. We exist to honor both the importance of quality leadership and its effect on student success. We believe we can play a role in the many stages of a leader's journey - raising up our leaders within and from the teaching ranks, encouraging the entry to leadership, honoring the complexity of leadership in education, operating with an eye to future advancement and succession planning, and finally, creating a forum where current leaders can pay it forward to the next generation. Concurrent Registration is required w/ the Pathways to Leadership 2025-2026 Kick Off Session. Session Topics will include: What is the Work of Leadership? What Does the Work Look Like, Today & Tomorrow? Who Does the Work with Me? What are the Structures, Supports, and Resources for Getting the Work Done? Participants will receive a $500 stipend to participate. Participants must have District Administrator permission to participate. Final confirmation of registration will be sent to registrants once district approval is received.

10. Strategic Prioritization: Using the SLS Member Plan to Lead in the School Library - FALL

This virtual series of sessions is designed for PreK-12 School Librarians in order to strengthen school library programs across the WSWHE BOCES region. Participants will be able to successfully complete the NYSED required SLS Member Plan, prioritize goals based on data from the NYSED approved SLP Rubric, and facilitate conversations with administrators about library program goals, in order to submit their member plan to SLS. This series is designed to assist school librarians with aligning their programs with the district and building goals and creating the best possible program for their students.

11. Thinkering Collective Fellowship

12. AI with Intention Book Study

This virtual series is designed for school librarians in grades K-12. This book study will focus on the guiding principles and steps in the book in order to use AI with intention. As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to understand and incorporate AI in ways that are intentional and effective. They will be able to understand the leadership side of decision making with regard to AI tools as well.

Books will be provided to school librarians.

Registration will close January 16 so books can be sent to participants.

13. TLC Library Automation User Group

The TLC User Group is a collaborative, virtual forum for users of the TLC (The Library Corporation) system. This group provides a platform for members to deepen their understanding of the system, share best practices, and contribute to its ongoing improvement. Meetings are held every other month for WSWHE BOCES Library Automation members to assist with ongoing learning about new features, troubleshoot challenges, and discuss potential enhancements. The goal of the group is to empower users to leverage the TLC system more efficiently and to foster a community of knowledgeable and engaged users.

This asynchronous, interactive session will test your knowledge so far of the TLC ILL system and help you beef up areas in which you need support. Work at your own pace as you learn how the system works, how you can pull reporting information to keep track of everything, and where the ILL system still has room to grow. The recent updates will be included in this session. And if you have been hesitant or frustrated lately with ILLs, this session will give you the tools you need to be more confident about the system. 24. REGIONAL SLS Communication Coordinator Meeting

This in person regional workshop for school librarians will focus on intellectual freedom, advocacy, and SEL for school librarians and their program. Afternoon session will be facilitated by Building Better Futures.

One of at least four meetings for SLS Communication Coordinators as mandated by NY State Education Law 90.18. Communication coordinators are updated on topics relevant to the profession such as changes in curriculum, technology, and the Information Fluency Continuum. Professional Development is provided on current issues. Information is disseminated to district librarians after each meeting. All school librarians are welcome.

27. NYS Mandated Harassment Prevention Training

This workshop is intended for all school employees, and will address harassment, bullying, and discrimination including, but not limited to, those acts based on a person's actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender, the status of being transgender, or sex. It will also cover the identification and mitigation of harassment, bullying, and discrimination. Due to regulatory compliance, the BOCES will make contact with districts, when necessary, to obtain the Harassment Policy specific to each district to ensure compliance. Participants should seek the permission of their superintendent to attend this training. Permission is required to attend. The registrant will be sent a link to participate in this session through a virtual platform 24 hours prior to the session date.

30. MTSS-I Regional Cohort Meeting: Behavior Interventions

This half day, in-person session, serves as a follow-up to our cohort meeting focused on building our academic intervention bank. Designed to continue the collaborative work, this session brings educators together to create a bank of behavioral interventions to utilize within their school building or district. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to analyze and utilize their MTSS data sets, informing decision making and strengthening support systems. As a result, participants will create and develop behavior interventions alongside colleagues to gain new ideas to support all learners. Additionally, school/district teams will have the opportunity to continue working on evaluating their current MTSS-I district or building plan.

31. Regional SEL Cohort Mtg #3 Year Theme: Whole-Staff SEL: Calm Classrooms, Connected School Communities

In this session series, participants will collaborate as a Regional Social Emotional Learning Group to develop and enrich curriculums, embed SEL in daily activities, and collaborate. Throughout this year, our goals are to nurture adults, model skills, and transform student learning by focusing on the The CASEL 5 areas of competence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. As a group, we will discuss and begin to build a shared resource bank, and enhance resources aligned to the NY SEL Benchmarks. 32. Restorative Practices in Action: Implementation, Challenges, and Circles

Led by practitioners from the South Glens Falls Central School District, this workshop explores how to build community, foster deeper connections, and respond constructively to conflict. The morning session features a restorative primer and an honest look at SGF's implementation journey, including the real-world challenges of a school-wide culture shift. In the afternoon, we move from theory to practice with an experiential circle focused on core values and the creation of Classroom Agreements. **Lunch will be on your own.

40. School Violence Certification Training

Project S.A.V.E. is a two-hour course that is required for certification of professionals who work in the schools in New York State. It was developed as a response to the ever-increasing violence in our schools. This workshop will provide school personnel with awareness of violence prevention and intervention skills and techniques that they can use.
The training is 2 hours and the cost is $40.

This virtual and asynchronous session is designed for K-12 teachers, instructional coaches, and leaders to facilitate skill development and a deep dive into the 14 practices of a thinking classroom. As a result of attending these sessions, participants will be able to: ~ implement Vertical Non-Permanent Surfaces (VNPS) and Visible Random Grouping to increase student persistence ~ distinguish between "studenting" behaviors and authentic thinking ~ redesign classroom norms to prioritize mathematical inquiry This course consists of three virtual meetings from 2:30- 3:30 on 4/13/26, 4/27/26 and 5/11/26. Participants will also be asked to complete asynchronous reflections between sessions. This training is approved by NYS Office of Teaching Initiatives.

Develop sensitivity to the experience of specific student populations

This immersive in-person session is designed for K-12 educators to bring teachers directly onto working beef and dairy farms to explore real-world applications of engineering, biology, environmental science, and technology helping to break down traditional silos in agricultural education. Participants will explore topics including soil health, beef lifecycle, precision technology, genetics, nutrition, and animal care. Participants will leave with ready-to-use classroom connections rooted in authentic agricultural STEM. 54. TCIS Refresher

Program: Teacher & Leader Development Service

Dates: 5/18/2026 to 5/19/2026

This two day, in-person session serves as a refresher course to the full, five day, TCIS initial curriculum training. As a result of attending this training, participants will develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the TCIS curriculum. Participants will have the chance to participate, practice, and receive feedback in conducting activities to gain immediate training experience. Training techniques such as role plays, small group discussions, reflective exercises, conducting practice sessions, and using audiovisual aids will be demonstrated. The curriculum is evidence-informed and trauma-sensitive. Participants will receive all the necessary materials to conduct the TCIS training program for their school district. Updates are for the certified TCI trainers and the refreshers are used in direct training for the staff. Therefore, certified TCI trainers needing to renew their certification will need to sign up for a TCI update. TCIS trainers are required to attend and successfully complete a TCIS update every two years in North America, Bermuda, and Australia, and every year in OCFS agencies in New York State and in the United Kingdom and Ireland to maintain their certification status.

55. SLS Communication Coordinator Meeting

57. MTSS-I Regional Cohort Meeting: SEL Interventions

This half day, in-person session, serves as a follow-up to our cohort meeting focused on building our behavior intervention bank. Designed to continue the collaborative work, this session brings educators together to create a bank of social-emotional learning interventions to utilize within their school building or district. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to analyze and utilize their MTSS data sets, informing decision making and strengthening support systems. As a result, participants will create and develop SEL interventions alongside colleagues to gain new ideas to support all learners. Additionally, school/district teams will have the opportunity to continue working on evaluating their current MTSS-I district or building plan.
