Or, are you a leader within our portfolio of schools who wishes to refresh some information? If so, this meeting applies to you and to members of your management/leadership team! Our annual orientation covers the basics about Buckeye Community Foundation, our role in support of your schools, and some of our key operations. We also cover school funding basics for leaders, compliance monitoring, school improvement supports, and school discipline. Former participants tell us that this was the most relevant training of the year for leaders. Join us "in person" at our Columbus training room for an information-packed day! A light lunch will be provided.

What happens when parents become upset and emotionally "out of control" over a disagreement with the school? Educators are certain to encounter difficult parents at some point in their careers. Learn how and why disagreements happen and what you can do about them. We will discuss strategies, including de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques, as they apply to educator-parent interactions. Participants will come away from this session feeling both more prepared and more confident in handling the inevitable "difficult" interaction with a parent.

Tackle a professional development experience to refresh your teaching during the holidays! This asynchronous learning session will explore the psychology of learning and what makes learning "stick" for students. Are you tired of students who do not remember their basic math facts? Or the steps in doing a scientific experiment? This video-based learning experience will help you as a teacher use effective brain-based principles of spaced practice, rest and refresh, and connected experiences. Work at your own pace to enhance your learning and see results in your classroom! Registration closes November 25, after which participants may view course videos and complete course products. Products are due January 5, 2026.
