1. MTDS Developing II - Teacher Academy Graduates

Program: RPDC - Central

Audience: Previous Participants of Teachers Academy

Dates: 9/16/2021 to 4/5/2022

This program offers support for mid-career teachers. Developing II begins with a statewide kick-off event featuring national expert John Antonetti!

Developing II is part of the Missouri Teacher Development System (mo-mtds.net) and is open to any teacher who has:
* completed Developing I: Teacher Academy
* a strong desire for continuous professional improvement

This opportunity provides:
* access to experts: State Kick-off event with national expert John Antonetti
* a copy John's book: Rigorous Task Design
* consultant support
* networking with other teachers
* competency-based programming

Developing II emphasizes the following MTDS Competencies

-Reflective Learner: Engages in On-Going Reflective Practice (Reflects on, in, and for practice, focusing on: (a) directing future instruction by reflecting; and (b) monitoring progress, evaluating results, and adjusting instruction based on the use of action research and student growth data)

-Instructional Designer: Develops Research-Based Instruction (Develops innovative instruction based on conducting and using action research that: (a) emphasizes essential concepts of content; (b) uses supplementary primary sources; (c) connects to student experience and culture; (d) meets the unique needs of diverse learners; and/or promotes student inquiry and interdisciplinary approaches)

-Professional: Understands & Promotes the Profession (Gains awareness of the larger professional community, including regional, state, national, and global professional educational communities and governmental bodies that impact the profession; and revises personal philosophy of teaching)

You must register separately for the Statewide meeting on September 16, 2021.

This program offers support for mid-career teachers. Developing II begins with a statewide kick-off event featuring national expert John Antonetti!

Program: RPDC - Agency for Teaching, Leading and Learning

Location: Park Central Office Building (ROOM 112) (Springfield, MO)

Dates: 9/16/2021 to 4/12/2022

This program offers support for mid-career teachers. Developing II begins with a statewide kick-off event featuring national expert John Antonetti!

Developing II is part of the Missouri Teacher Development System (mo-mtds.net) and is open to any teacher who has:
* completed Developing I: Teacher Academy
* a strong desire for continuous professional improvement

This opportunity provides:

* consultant support
* networking with other teachers
* competency-based programming

This year-long cohort experience is designed to further develop the teacher's deep pedagogical practices and to practice the leadership skills that are part of being a true master teacher. Grads complete an action research project over the course of the year.

Participation requires five total days: a one-day fall statewide kickoff session held in September and four regional meeting days held throughout the year.

All transportation and lodging fees are the responsibility of the individual district. **Scholarships are available**

4. MTDS Developing II: Teacher Academy Graduates

Program: RPDC - Northwest

Location: 5 Varies (Maryville/St Joseph, MO)

Audience: Past Teacher Academy Participants

Dates: 11/9/2021 to 3/21/2022

Teacher Academy Graduates is intended for teachers who have completed the Teacher Academy program and want to continue to build on that experience. TAG begins with a statewide kick-off featuring national expert John Antonetti as it allows participants to continue to deepen knowledge gained from Developing I: Teacher Academy. Attendees will attend four regional meetings to acquire approaches for implementation of successful research-based strategies when working with a group of students and/or peers.

MTDS Competencies addressed:
* Reflective Learner: Engages in On-going Reflective Practice
* Instructional Designer: Develops Research-Based Instruction * Professional: Understands and Promotes the Profession

The State meeting is facilitated by John Antonetti, noted researcher and author. All participants receive a complimentary copy of his book, "Powerful Task Design.”

Audience: A teacher who has attended Teacher Academy

Dates: 11/12/2021 to 3/17/2022

    Teacher Academy Graduates, you spent a year with select teachers from our region who wanted to develop their instructional practice, leadership skills, and knowledge by attending Teacher Academy. Continue to grow as a teacher leader and return for a second year! Author and researcher John Antonetti will kick off the academy with a State Teacher Academy Grads training and continue work with "17,000 Classroom Visits Can't Be Wrong".

    Who qualifies for Grads? A teacher who has attended Teacher Academy, is committed to sustained professional growth, and who desires to continue that growth with a cadre of teachers dedicated to improving student learning. Come on back for another year! Application information is posted on our website at rpdc.mst.edu.

    If you are attending a workshop for which you have not registered, a late fee will be applied.

    Lunch will be provided. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions at least seven days in advance.

    Scholarship money will be available. Registration fee of $120 is for all dates.

    Face coverings are recommended if you are NOT fully vaccinated.
  • 7. MTDS Developing II: Teacher Academy Graduates

    Program: RPDC - Heart of MO - Regional Professional Development Center

    Dates: 11/18/2021 to 3/24/2022

    The Missouri Teacher Academy Graduates program allows participants to continue to deepen knowledge gained from the Teacher Academy program. It is a natural progression to building lead teachers for your school district. Attendees continue to acquire research-based best practices aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards and Missouri State Teacher Standards. Participation requires four release days for regional meetings and one Statewide Kickoff Meeting in September. John Antonetti will be the trainer for the statewide kickoff. Tuition, travel expenses (including hotel at the Statewide meetings), and substitutes will be the responsibility of the school or individual. Prerequisite: Completion of Teacher's Academy
