1. MLDS III Sustaining Leadership (Leadership Academy)

Program: RPDC - Southeast

Location: 1 Southeast Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Cape Girardeau, MO) [map]

Dates: 6/13/2022 to 6/14/2023

As a member of this year-long academy, your learning will be focused on Missouri Leadership Development System competencies for the developing leader. The Leadership Academy emphasizes the importance of building capacity of instructional practices correlated to high academic achievement for students. Total Registration cost ($600) will be made payable to your local center or RPDC. $300 will be made payable to YMCA of the Ozarks Outdoor Learning Experience and is located in Potosi, MO at the YMCA. The dates for OLE are: October 26-29, 2022. Winter Meeting is January 12-13, 2023 at Hilton Garden Inn and Conference Center, Columbia MO. Graduation is June 14-16, 2023. Regional meetings are scheduled on the following dates: September 22, November 30, February 7 or 8 TBD, and April 11. These meetings are held from 9AM until 3PM in Room 202 at the RPDC. Scholarships are available through the RPDC.

2. Missouri Leadership Academy Cohort #36

Program: RPDC - Heart of MO - Regional Professional Development Center

Location: TBD (Springfield, MO)

Dates: 7/8/2022 to 7/11/2022

The Missouri Leadership Academy is a statewide cohort with a regional connection. Participants engage in statewide meetings as well as four regional cohort meetings. Statewide meetings include nationally known speakers such as Ken WIlliams, Joe Sanfellipo, Mike Rutherford, Beth Houf and more. The focus of Leadership Academy is to ensure success of ALL students by building leadership capacity. This year-long experience develops effective leaders who: -Demonstrate their roles as lead learner -Develop and cultivate positive, productive professional relationships -Develop skills to effectively develop teachers -Create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement Leadership Academy is designed for building leaders in Year 3 and beyond. The Outdoor Leadership Experience held at Trout Lodge, Potosi and is billed seperately. The 4 regional cohort meetings are held at the various schools within the region. The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) is an important component to support the effort of all buildings.

    8. Leadership Academy - Northwest RPDC

    Program: RPDC - Northwest

    Location: 5 Varies (Maryville/St Joseph, MO)

    Audience: Building Leaders in year 3 and beyond

    Dates: 8/3/2022 to 4/13/2023

    Leadership Academy is part of the Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS). This year-long experience develops effective leaders who:
    *Engage with school and community
    *Serve as catalysts for meaningful and productive change
    *Recognize and develop excellent instruction
    *Create and sustain a culture of continuous learning

    Leadership Academy is designed for building leaders in Year 3 and beyond.

    The program includes includes:
    * 3 state meetings: Kickoff (June), Winter Meeting (January) and Graduation (June)
    * Outdoor Leadership Experience (October) is held at YMCS Trout Lodge, Potosi
    * 5 regional cohort meetings
    * Legislative visit

    Fee includes program registration regional meetings. Transportation and lodging to state meetings is not included. An additional $300 fee will be paid to YMCA of the Ozarks for OLE.

    9. MLDS: New Leaders Year I Cohort 22-23

    Audience: School Leaders in their first few years of school leadership.

    Dates: 8/4/2022 to 4/6/2023

    The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) is a continuum of learning and supports provided to school leaders from aspiring to retiring. In addition to content available for aspiring school leaders, five levels of support comprise MLDS: New Leaders Year I, New Leaders Year II, Sustaining Leadership Year III, Sustaining Leadership IV and Transformational Leadership V.

    New Leaders Year 1 Cohort:
    The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) is a series of professional learning experiences specifically tailored to develop leadership capacity across multiple domains of leadership. Research and practical experience confirm the impact of leadership on multiple aspects of school life, personal satisfaction, recruitment and retention of faculty and staff, and student achievement, to name a few. Essential activities will include, but are not limited to productive and relevant mentoring (Emerging Level - years 1 and 2) and comprehensive and progressive learning treatments designed to meet principals' needs at their current level of experience (Emerging and Developing Levels). Join this cohort and watch your leadership skill and professional network grow. Not sure which cohort to join? Just ask!

    10. MLDS: New Leaders Year II Cohort 22-23

    Program: RPDC - Kansas City

    Location: 3 KCRPDC-Union Station (Kansas City, MO) [map]

    Audience: School Leaders in their first few years of school leadership.

    Dates: 8/9/2022 to 4/13/2023

    The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) is a continuum of learning and supports provided to school leaders from aspiring to retiring. In addition to content available for aspiring school leaders, five levels of support comprise MLDS: New Leaders Year I, New Leaders Year II, Sustaining Leadership Year III, Sustaining Leadership IV and Transformational Leadership V.

    New Leaders Year 2 Cohort:
    The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) is a continuum of learning and supports provided to school leaders from aspiring to retiring. In addition to content available for aspiring school leaders, five levels of support comprise MLDS: New Leaders Year I, New Leaders Year II, Sustaining Leadership Year III, Sustaining Leadership IV and Transformational Leadership V. School leaders will want to invest in their own professional development by attending each level of training. The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) New Leaders Year 1 provides principals: Conclusion of two-years of productive and relevant mentoring, training and support through research-based learning experiences, opportunities to develop formal and informal professional networks. MLDS New Leaders Year 2 includes two regional meetings which provide practical, relevant learning as well as two coaching labs providing hands on experiences to improve skills in assessing school culture. In addition, a minimum of 20 hours of mentor support are included. Participation in New Leaders Year 1 is a pre-requisite for this cohort. If you are in year two of school leadership and did not participate in New Leaders Year 1, please contact the RPDC Leadership Development Specialist, Tamara Moore-Callahan at tymtc7@umkc.edu to discuss your best course placement. Completion of the New Leaders/Emerging Level series (year 1 and 2) meets administrative certification requirements.

    11. MLDS: Missouri Leadership Academy 22-23

    Audience: School Leaders with at least three full years of administrator experience.

    Dates: 9/1/2022 to 5/2/2023

    The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) is a continuum of learning and supports provided to school leaders from aspiring to retiring. In addition to content available for aspiring school leaders, five levels of support comprise MLDS: New Leaders Year I, New Leaders Year II, Sustaining Leadership Year III, Sustaining Leadership IV and Transformational Leadership V.

    Missouri Leadership Academy:

    12. MLDS IV Sustaining Leadership

    MLDS IV continues the growth of leaders who have completed MLDS Years 1 and 2 and MLDS III. MLDS IV works with leaders addressing pertinent topics in regard to their level of leadership and their growth as a leader. MLDS IV consists of 3 regional meetings and 1 learning lab. Meeting dates for the 2022-2023 school year are: September 6, November 2, January 10, and April 12.

    13. MLDS New Leaders Year 2

    Year 2 of Emerging Level provides new leaders with continued support which builds upon Year 1 training.

    21. MLDS VI Sustaining Leadership

    Transformational leaders have completed Years 1-5 work in the Missouri Leadership Development System. MLDS VI level work allows experienced leaders to continue their growth through participation in the learning experiences and treatments of the transformational level. Three regional meetings and one learning lab will be held throughout the year.

    22. MLDS: Transformational Leadership V Cohort 22-23

    Audience: School Leaders of with six plus years of school leadership experience.

In addition to content available for aspiring school leaders, five levels of support comprise MLDS: New Leaders Year I, New Leaders Year II, Sustaining Leadership Year III, Sustaining Leadership IV and Transformational Leadership V.
