This professional learning opportunity will provide educators with foundational knowledge of the components of social and emotional learning to support student growth in the educational environment. Educators will have the opportunity to reflect on instructional and teaching practices that support social-emotional learning, the integration of social-emotional learning into academic areas and through examples of explicit social-emotional skill instruction.

The PIMS Fundamentals course will assist new PIMS Administrators in getting started on their PIMS journey. The course provides participants with an introduction to PIMS, an explanation of the PIMS manuals and calendars, uploading data to PIMS, PIMS Resources, PASecureID, PIMS Reports V2, Submitting ACSs, and Excel file guidance.

This course includes two days of live classroom instruction and one day of customized coaching. Classroom instruction includes interactive presentations, hands-on activities, and group discussions. Coaching includes 1-to-1 support with your LEAs PIMS data and Student Information System. Coaching can be broken down into three 2.5-hour sessions or five 1.5-hour sessions scheduled at your convenience. Coaching hours must be used within 90 days of classroom instruction.

8. Restorative Justice Conferencing | Act 45

Program: Hourly Workshops - Dual

Audience: K-12 teachers, staff, and administrators that are involved with responding to incidents or harm or wrongdoing.

Dates: 4/30/2025 to 5/1/2025

Meeting Times: Wednesday and Thursday, 4/30/2025 and 5/01/2025; 8:30am - 3:30pm both days

Incidents of conflict, wrongdoing, and harm occur everywhere, every day in schools, workplaces, college campuses, neighborhoods, and families. The restorative justice conference provides a way to engage with those who cause and experience harm, along with the related community.

Restorative Justice Conferencing covers the fundamentals of facilitating a formal conference in response to an incident of wrongdoing or harm. You will then be able to utilize those skills to create deeper interpersonal understanding and repair relationships among those involved or affected by such an incident.
