To be eligible for the Facilitator Add-on Only. Participants must have previously completed a curriculum launch.

The Curriculum Launch for Facilitators aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the OpenSciEd Curriculum, enabling effective facilitation for participants. Participants experience the curriculum firsthand, focusing on teaching and learning centered on students making sense of phenomena. The launch equips facilitators with the tools and information to confidently lead the curriculum. Following the launch, facilitators are prepared to guide professional learning independently.

Facilitators attend two add-on virtual days on May 9th and 29th, 2024, from 11:00am - 4:30pm EST.

The Curriculum Launch for Facilitators aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the OpenSciEd Curriculum, enabling effective facilitation for participants. Participants experience the curriculum firsthand, focusing on teaching and learning centered on students making sense of phenomena. The launch equips facilitators with the tools and information to confidently lead the curriculum. Following the launch, facilitators are prepared to guide professional learning independently.

Facilitators attend the Curriculum Launch for Teachers professional learning. Those virtual sessions will run for four days, starting May 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, 2024, respectively. Each session will run from 11:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST), with a one-hour lunch break at 2:00pm EST. Facilitators will also attend two additional virtual days on May 9th and 29th, 2024, from 11:00am to 4:30pm EST.

Join us for a comprehensive OpenSciEd curriculum launch to help teachers and educators acquire a complete understanding and practical skills for efficiently implementing the OpenSciEd curriculum in their classrooms or districts. The program is designed based on adult learning research, emphasizing a shift from teacher-led instruction to a skilled facilitator approach in professional learning. With this program, you will gain hands-on experience and explore the best teaching practices focusing on student engagement and problem-solving, making you proficient in navigating embedded resources.

The virtual sessions will run for four days, starting May 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, 2024, respectively. Each session will run from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), with a one-hour lunch break at 2:00 PM EST. The program will provide an in-depth understanding of the curriculum and its best practices to empower teachers and educators to implement it more effectively.
