1. IU13 Personalized Learning Academy PHASE 3 Educator Competency Course - by invitation only

Program: Instructional Technology/ IS

Dates: 8/24/2022 to 9/15/2022

This course is developed for any educator whose district is participating in Phase 3 of the IU13 Personalized Learning Academy. The course opens October 3rd and runs through May 31st, 2023. This course provides core components, guiding principles, and competencies of personalized learning. Job-embedded practices are included to support educators in planning, facilitating, and measuring personalized learning with their learners. Upon successful completion of the course, educators will demonstrate understanding of the three main competencies of personalized learning through a culminating project portfolio.

An Elizabethtown Area SD Orientation Kick-Off Zoom will take place on August 24 from 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm.

For all other districts, An Orientation Kick-off will take place on September 15 at 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm.

Course access information will be provided to participants via the Orientation Kick-Off.

Looking for MORE Google expertise? We invite you to join PA Intermediate Units 12, 13, and 15 for our extension to our Google Summit. This 2.0 virtual summit is delivered via Schoology and is built to follow the initial 1.0 offering or for those with a solid working-knowledge of Google Workspace. This 6-hour professional learning event features additional Google Workspace applications, techniques, and resources that promote K-12 student learning, collaboration, and creativity.

This Asynchronous Course will run May 1 - May 31, 2023. Course information will be sent to registered participants the day prior to the start date.

This professional learning series will focus on utilizing the three modalities of learning used in station rotation in order to meet the specific needs of today's learners. Station rotation is a stepping stone toward creating a Personalized Learning environment for today's learners. Participants will experience and learn about the station rotation framework and how to apply both personalized and individualized learning strategies, resources, and tools to maximize learning. During the three-day hands-on sessions, attendees will participate in a variety of instructional activities and strategies that they will be able to implement in their own classrooms. Participants will reflect on what new learning and skills they have attained this year and moving forward how those apply to a more personalized learning approach in their own classroom.

*Participants who are invited to attend by their district under an established contract are welcome to register at no additional cost (costs are already included in the established contract). For participants who want to attend the 3 day series outside of a previously established district contract, the cost is $350 per a person for the series.

Did you know that you can check out equipment such as the StarLab, Mobile VR Kits, and the Telepresence System or the new IMS STEM Lending Library? Certification workshops are available or you can just come and explore items such as Sphero Robots, Makey Makey, and Phidgets. Other educational technology session offerings such as an introduction to Google Workspace, Schoology and much more will also be available.

Attendees should bring their own internet connected device and are encouraged to have user district accounts created in advance.
