1. Getting Started with Curriculum Pathways: All Disciplines

Program: New York Partners for Technology Innovation

Audience: Administrators, Teachers of Multiple Subjects, Media Specialists, Teacher Assistants

Dates: 3/11/2019

In this 15-hour online course, you will learn about the no-cost resources from Curriculum Pathways available to teachers and students that support learning in elementary, middle, and high school. You will also learn about Crio—a free, open resource that lets educators create and share interactive lessons.

Throughout the course you will focus on resources that match your curricular needs and level: finding topic-specific resources, identifying pedagogical and assessment features of various resource types, and working through a resource just as students would. In a final integration assignment, you will create a lesson plan, incorporating resources from Curriculum Pathways (or your own lesson created with Crio) to meet your instructional goals.

Estimated time-on-task to complete all course requirements is 15 hours.

There is a $10.00 NYPTI registration fee for these professional development courses. Curriculum Pathways is provided at no cost.
