1. Why Create Digital Age Learners? (ONLINE WORKSHOP)

Did you know our state adopted new standards for technology integration? We did, and luckily the standards are familiar because they follow the ISTE standards for students. Explore the why for integrating technology integration standards while participating in Jamboard and gamification with Gimkit. At the end of the session, you should be able to find the standards, understand the why behind the implementation of the standards, and have a familiarity with Jamboard.

This workshop will be presented virtually. All log-in information will be provided prior to the workshop.

Intended for all K-12 teachers. Please come prepared with a personal Google account to access our Classroom.

2. Creative Communicator and G Suite (ONLINE WORKSHOP)

In this session, we will explore the new state standard of creative communicator that follow the ISTE standards for students. We will start by using communication tools to unpack the standards, and then we will collaborate about Google tools that your students can use to communicate with you and each other. The session's goal is to create a feedback loop with your students using communication tools in Google. Come to this session prepared to communicate with your colleagues while learning tips and tricks with Classroom, Commenting, Chat, and Google Mail.

This workshop will be presented virtually. All log-in information will be provided prior to the workshop.

Intended for teachers who use Google Classroom. Please have a Chromebook or laptop for this session. For this session, you will need a personal Google Account.

3. Digital Citizen and Google Slides (ONLINE WORKSHOP)

Dates: 11/22/2021

In this session, we will explore the new state standard of Digital Citizen that follows the ISTE standards for students. This session will start by unpacking the standards for digital citizenship in your grade level while you collaborate with others. Then we will cover the interactive elements in Google Slides to present your classroom digital citizenship ideals with your students. We will do this by using video, gifs, add-ons in Slides, and more. You should leave with the start of a presentation that you can use with your students.

This workshop will be presented online. Log-in information will be provided prior to the workshop.

4. Knowledge Constructor and Research (ONLINE WORKSHOP)

This session will explore the new state standard Knowledge Constructor that follows the ISTE standards for students. We will start this session by unpacking the standard of knowledge constructor and then use Jamboard to curate a variety of ways to meet the standard. We will then explore research and curation strategies and finally make an action plan to help our learners find credible information to enhance their academic and creative pursuits.

5. Empowered Learner and Chrome (ONLINE WORKSHOP)

This session will explore the new state standard Empowered Learner that follows the ISTE standards for students. Troubleshooting, setting goals and demonstrating learning are daily tasks our students achieve in our classrooms. We will start this session by looking at the new state standards and listing how we already meet in our classrooms. Then we will look at basic troubleshooting and features of Chromebooks and Google Chrome to help students continue to transfer their knowledge to problems.

Intended for teachers who use Chromebooks or the Chrome environment with learners. Please have a Chromebook or laptop for this session.

Data, data, data, it's changing our world and our curriculum's relevance for our students. Then we brainstorm ways our students use data sets in their current learning. As a bonus, we will explore the fantastic tool of Google Sheets and how it integrates into the overall Google platform.

8. Global Communicator and Google Workplace (ONLINE WORKSHOP)

This session will explore the new state standard Global Communicator that follows the ISTE standards for students. There are so many ways to collaborate with technology and gain insights into our diverse backgrounds that choosing one Google tool is too difficult. In this session, we will collaborate in at least three different types of Google tools on ways you (as master teachers) create solutions to common teaching dilemmas. Then we will discuss how Google collaboration tools can help you meet the global communicator standard in your classroom. Come to this session prepared to use digital tools to examine issues and investigate solutions.
