VESi-Understanding Aggression (EDV 501)

EDV 501 Esteves School of Education at Russell Sage College

Topics explored include: aggression in the classroom, youth gangs, acceptable aggression in US culture, drugs/alcohol/aggression connections, and "hot spots" that turn aggression into violence. The course helps school personnel increase their awareness of the causes of aggression and to evaluate aggressive behavior and implement interventions that de-escalate potentially violent situations. Graduate level reading, writing, and research are required. 3 Graduate Credits.

Participants have maximum of 1 year and a minimum of two weeks to complete the course. Course materials will be sent directly from Virtual Education Software, Inc. (VESi).
