Bullying has been around since schools were established. Bullying affects everyone in a school and has been blamed for poor self-esteem, suicide, and school shootings. This seminar is designed to help school-related professionals understand what bullying is and how it impacts the lives of every member of a school community. Through discussion, hands-on learning and reflection, we will cover the types of bullying and strategies to decrease or eliminate bullying. (3 hours) **This seminar does not fulfill the Dignity Act (DASA) mandate.

The seminar will focus on specific aspects of the Dignity Act that are important for School-Related Professionals to know. (3 hours)

This interactive and discussion-based program examines harassment, discrimination and bullying as it relates to, but is not limited to, those acts based on a person's actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, gender or sex. Participants will engage in authentic conversations and reflections about harassment, discrimination and bullying as well as explore the impact of social constructs in their personal and professional lives. This training fulfills the state requirements for six clock hours of coursework or training in the Dignity Act in accordance with Article 2 Sections 10-18 of the Education Law.

The Dignity Act training does not count towards CTLE hours.
