This workshop will explore Computational Thinking across the disciplines for Grade 3 to 8. What is Computational Thinking and why is it important? Learn about Computational Thinking (CT), its importance to ALL learners, and how it is different from computer science. No matter your discipline, learn how to easily integrate CT into your lessons without it being "taking on something new". We will explore the meaning of computational thinking, break it down into its nine core concepts, and provide you with resources and lesson ideas to add into your existing curriculum.

Participants will receive mileage reimbursement.

This workshop is for educators who are ready to lean into the learning with their students through augmented reality experiences. Together we will learn to set up a MERGE Cube classroom experience, develop integrations for our classrooms and investigate ways to blur the lines between education and fun with physical and virtual learning experiences.

They will learn 3D printer terminology, learn some basics design skills in Tinkercad, and learn some tips and tricks to simplify the process. Participants will also get several ideas and examples of how 3D printing could be integrated into their classroom. This session is applicable for grades 3-8.

Participants will learn different ways to Integrate technology into literacy that support the four components of computational thinking. Computational thinking is an approach to solving problems which exposes students to computing ideas and principles in the subject areas they are already learning. Workshop experiences will include technology such as Ozobot, Dash, Makey Makey and Osmo.

No coding experience needed. We will move slowly through this introduction to programming through Scratch 3.0 session. Educators will leave here with a confident background in Scratch and a completed Maze game - along with the resources needed to implement Scratch 3.0 in your class across the curriculum! This is a "hands on" presentation. Please bring a laptops and ear buds.

This workshop will help participants learn a new way to show students how to enhance their drawings, charaters, and story elements. This kit will allow students more artistic freedom and bring their creations to live. There are three seperates games in the kit: Monster, Masterpiece, and Newtown. These programs work towards imporing student problem solving skills. We will also talk about coding and the tangiable blocks available for students to learn how to code. This workshop is for Grades K-2.

There is a reimbursement for mileage.
