1. New AP Registration and Ordering System - Set-Up Workshop*

The College Board will be introducing a new ordering system for Advanced Placement exams for the 2019-2020 school year. AP Coordinators are invited to this hands-on session to set up the new AP Registration and Ordering System (APRO). This professional development course, led by a team of Nassau BOCES trainers, will engage school-based teams of three or four educators in learning the Data Wise approach to instructional data use. Through this experience, participants will gain hands-on experience in working with their data team to cultivate the "habits of mind" that can improve the effectiveness of teams and foster a supportive culture of continuous improvement. $3,000 fee per team will be billed to the district. All team members are expected to attend all sessions.

This Round Table Discussion is intended for Medicaid Billing Clerks and others who work closely with Medicaid in their districts. Provides guidance in examining, interpreting, and analyzing the implementation of Data Wise I. Includes in-district collaborative work sessions with a Nassau BOCES Data Wise team member. Promotes the continuation of data analysis to improve instructional practices and student achievement. Builds a sense of shared responsibility by identifying instructional solutions which will be adapted across grade levels. Course Details: The Data Wise II course consists of (3) 1/2 day training sessions at Nassau BOCES along with in-district meetings to be scheduled jointly between the principal and the Nassau BOCES Data Wise team member.

This file not only creates the answer sheet, it connects students to teachers for the Instructional Data Warehouse and impacts state reporting. Students with incorrect data may "drop out" of the state reporting system. This workshop is the culmination of the three year National Science Foundation Grant that was awarded jointly to Teachers College, Columbia University and Nassau BOCES: Building Community and Capacity for Data-Intensive Evidence-Based Decision Making in Schools and Districts. Participants in this workshop will be matched and partnered with national-level education researchers and data scientists, and will then work together in teams using interactive design-based improvement science frameworks to brainstorm, prototype, and then build innovative visualizations and data tools that will help educators address the needs of their students and community.
