Are you an ACT WorkKeys: Work Ready Community (WRC)? If not, we encourage you to join us for a FREE workshop presented by ACT's very own: Gregory Napierela and Anthony Guidice. WRC is a model supporting the foundational skills needed for entering, and re-entering, the workforce. It can provide career focused students with an early foothold into postsecondary education and reinforce adults seeking to re-enter institutions with skills they have already attained in the workplace. This workshop will explore ACT WorkKeys, what the WRC model is and how it could help our communities! We encourage all to attend as this is a community effort and feel it can significantly help our students to become better prepared for their futures!

This workshop will be led by a Renaissance consultant and will focus on understanding how the Star Assessment Suite - CBM Lectura, Star Early Literacy and Star in Spanish provides authentic assessments for those students whose native language is Spanish. You will learn how the assessments can be used for universal screening, progress monitoring, goal setting and more, to support the translanguaging journey of students from their native Spanish to English and from elementary through high school. This workshop will also review the Spanish components of the Renaissance practice products-Freckle & myON. Come learn how to create meaningful authentic tasks for your students whose native language is Spanish.

Once again, we will be offering our Understanding Special Education Data for State Reporting - EOY Special ED / State Reporting review workshop. IN this workshop, we will review why reporting this data accurately is important, and how it is used at the State level. This session is intended for any new special education office staff who are responsible for reporting the PD Data System Verification Reports 11-16. This session will also cover how to troubleshoot issues, how to set up your preschoolers and incoming K students for the summer and for next year, and lastly how to exit students from IEPDirect for state reporting Each verification report will be explained and reviewed. Presented by retired Special Education experts, Dr. Roberta Kupietz and Dr. Arlene Genden Sage. This session is also relevant to current District Data Coordinators who would like to learn more about this collection of reports and how to resolve errors.
