1. Stop-Motion Animation

Spark creativity with a Stop-Motion Animation module!

Students will use a stop-motion app, everyday materials, and the science of motion to create animated stories. It's a hands-on fusion of engineering, storytelling, and imagination!

Note: It is suggested that you bring your own tablet and have the free or paid-for version of the Stop Motion app installed.


Cancellation Policy:

If a participant has registered for, but is unable to attend, a Nassau BOCES workshop, they are required to drop their workshop registration on Frontline/MLP at least 7 days prior to the start date of the workshop. In the event the participant does not cancel within this timeframe, the participant/district will be billed.

This meeting is virtual. The Instructional Technology Specialist Roundtable Meetings serve as a dynamic and collaborative community space for Instructional Technology Coaches and Specialists. Led by the Nassau BOCES Model Schools team, we engage in discussions covering a wide range of technology-related topics, including best integration practices, favorite/new programs, troubleshooting pressing technology (hardware, software, integration) issues, and more. The Roundtable meetings provide districts with the opportunity to leverage our collective expertise, thereby enhancing the utilization of technology within their respective districts.

A Canva Learning Consultant will share tips and best practices along the way, and you'll walk away with a virtual workbook of new features and fresh inspiration to take your Canva experience to the next level.

This workshop is an opportunity for school and district leaders to explore how AI can be used to support and advance their faculty. Participants will learn how AI tools can help teachers create more effective, differentiated, and standards-aligned lessons-while saving time and aligning with district expectations.
Administrators will explore a curated set of vetted AI platforms, discuss implementation best practices, and engage in guided conversations with peers about emerging AI policies and how to shape them for their schools.
