As New York State transitions from the Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS) to the Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards (NGMLS), it's critical for math educators to understand how this shift impacts Regents exam content, structure, and rigor.

In this interactive session, participants will compare and contrast old and new Regents exams, focusing on how the same standard clusters are assessed differently over time. They will analyze shifts in mathematical language, cognitive demand, and question design, and collaborate to adapt instruction accordingly.

Teachers will leave with a collection of practical resources, including:

    •A standards frequency heatmap.

    •A standards comparison guide.

    •A question difficulty rubric.

•A digital resource folder filled with editable tools for classroom and department planning.
Leave with actionable insights and tools to better prepare students for the evolving expectations of Regents success.
