Choice is one of the most powerful teaching strategies out there. In this six-hour, asynchronous course,you will discover how to differentiate learning through the effective facilitation of choice. This course is designed for K-12 educators. A short google form will need to be completed at the end of course as well as a copy of course certificate to receive CTLE hours. However, you will have access to the course itself and all of the LiveBinder resources included for 365 days from the start of the course.

Students often struggle with independent work not because they lack understanding, but because the executive function skills needed to start, sustain, and complete tasks are still developing. This blended workshop helps educators examine independent work through an executive function lens, focusing on skills such as task initiation, attention, planning, and self-regulation. Participants explore practical strategies to structure independent work time, build clear routines, and support students in managing distractions and maintaining engagement. Educators also learn how to scaffold independence and gradually shift responsibility to students. Participants leave with classroom-ready tools and instructional approaches that help students work more independently, sustain focus, and successfully complete tasks. You will have access to the asynchronous session until 8/15/26. Upon successful of completion of the video, you will need to fill out a brief google form in order to finalize CTLE hours.

All participants will receive planning support, access to family engagement and funding resources, and dedicated collaborative work time to identify student and family needs and define a challenge/focus area to guide their work.
