Program: Curriculum & Instruction
Dates: 9/30/2025 to 10/20/2025
New This two-day professional learning experience will deepen educators' understanding of Text Dependent Analysis (TDA) and the instructional skills students need to be successful. Participants will examine the essential components of TDA, including prompt deconstruction, close reading, evidence gathering, inferencing, analysis, and essay writing. The sessions will also explore the Pennsylvania Department of Education's TDA learning progression and the replacement units, providing teachers with a clear framework for instruction. By the end of the training, participants will have a strong grasp of both the requirements and best practices necessary to support students in developing the critical reading and writing skills demanded by TDA. Lunch is on your own. PAYMENT OPTIONS Payment options include self-pay through PayPal or "Bill My District.” All self-payments must be made before the event. If self-payment is not received before the event, registrants must pay via PayPal upon arrival. If payment cannot be established before or upon arrival, you will not be permitted to attend the event.
