10. Asynchronous: The Seven Steps to a Successful Follett Inventory

Intended audience: school librarians from districts participating in the Questar III Library Automation CoSer.
Conducting an inventory of your collection helps to determine resource shortages or surpluses, so you can utilize your book budget most effectively. In this asynchronous session, you will learn the 7 steps necessary to complete a successful collection inventory:

Preparation
Creating new inventory in the system
Scanning best practices
Uploading barcodes
Cleanup
Locating and reading reports
Finalizing

This session will conclude with the submission of one learning task: complete an inventory of a small subsection of your collection then submit your results by June 10th by 11:59 p.m.

Directions will be emailed to registered participants on April 11, 2022.

11. Evaluating All Teachers of ELLs to Support Equity with Support Ed

Diane Staehr Fenner will facilitate a half-day virtual professional development to support diversity, equity, and inclusion through teacher evaluation that is inclusive of ELLs.
Participants will:
- - Describe the need for teacher evaluation that is inclusive of all teachers of ELLs
- - Explore an adapted framework for teacher evaluation that includes ELLs
- - Discuss and apply the four principles of ELL-inclusive teacher evaluation
- - Evaluate their current teacher evaluation system for its inclusiveness of ELLs and make a plan to increase inclusivity of all teachers of ELLs


Participants who register by March 2, 2022, will receive a copy of the book.

- You sign up on MLP before the deadline: June 1
- We mail you your book to begin your independent book study, which runs for the duration of the summer (June 15-Aug 31).
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO SYNCHRONOUS MEETING - THE DATE AND TIME LISTED ARE A PLACEHOLDER ONLY! - You use the chapter-specific question to guide your reading responses to the chapters of your choice, in the order you select, any time during the book study window.
- One hour of CTLE credit will be provided for each chapter once your Google form assignments are submitted and reviewed.

The Capital District RBERN is excited to offer a hybrid, virtual book study based on "We Got This" by Cornelius Minor. Participants will look at how to address diversity, equity, and inclusivity with an ELL lens in their classrooms.

We will hold a one-hour virtual kickoff meeting on July 20 that introduces the cohort to the text; a virtual check-in meeting on August 24 to share ideas and questions about lesson implementation and a culminating share-out virtual meeting on October 4 where the cohort will share the lesson ideas they implemented and discuss their experiences.

Participants will get a free copy of the book if they sign up before July 1. Prior to the first meeting, participants will get an email with the zoom link for the kickoff session. An additional 3 CTLE credits will be awarded for the asynchronous expectations, for a total of 6 credit hours altogether.

In Dr. Bryan Pearlman's book Maslow Before Bloom: Basic Human Needs Before Academics, Pearlman shares case studies of students with challenging behaviors. Teachers will learn about Pearlman's "Ten Minute Problem Solving" tool and process so they may consider making this a part of their own repertoire of resources.

The Capital District RBERN is excited to offer a hybrid, virtual book study based on "The Writing Revolution" by Judith C. Hochman and Natalie Wexler. Participants will be introduced to the six principles of the Hochman method to improve English Learners' writing and reading comprehension. These stratgies interweave with your existing lessons and provide research-based results for your ELLs!

We will hold a one-hour virtual kickoff meeting on July 21 that introduces the cohort to the text: a virtual check-in meeting On Aug 25 to share ideas and questions about lesson implementation; and a culminating share-out virtual meeting on October 6 where the cohort will share the lesson strategies they implemented and discuss their experiences.
