1. TLI Winter Event

Program: LHRIC - Technology Leadership Institute (TLI)

We Have the Tools -- Let's be the Change Agents! In 2016 we find ourselves armed with a variety of right digital resources and tools to support our instructional programs. It is critical to ensure we have a strategic approach when identifying the needs and use of all of these tools to successfully implement systemic change in our classrooms. This session will begin with a presentation by the New Media Corporation on the long and short term technology trends from the newly released 2016 Horizon Report. In addition we will have a hands on exploration of their accompanying toolkit designed to assist district leaders in taking the information and using it locally. Following that we will look at the Brightbytes Clarity Data and use the data to focus on the Horizon Report trend of Personalized Learning Networks. Speakers are Samantha Becker, Senior Director of Communications for the NMC, and Karen Goldstein, a veteran educator and national instructional coach from Indianapolis, Indiana. 2. TLI Technology Expo

Program: LHRIC - Technology Leadership Institute (TLI)

Audience: School District teachers, leaders, board and community members.

Dates: 4/7/2017

This is the LHRIC's capstone teaching and learning event for the year! It is designed for district stakeholders from across the region as a showcase for what works, what we should look forward to, and even what to avoid as we move to a more personalized learning environment across all teaching and learning. The LHRIC is frequently asked to help districts learn about what others are doing, who is doing it well, and what should we be paying attention to. This is that event! Come be inspired by the fabulous keynote speakers as well as stories from your peers. This events keynote speakers are: Kevin Brookhouse, M. Ed and the author of 20time Project: How educators can launch Google's formula for future ready students; and James Sanders, the Chief Innovation Officer for Ed Tech Team and co-founder of Future Ready Schools. 3. TLI TELL Award Celebration 8am-1:30pm

Program: LHRIC - Technology Leadership Institute (TLI)

Audience: School District Teachers and Leaders and Award Winners and their Stakeholders.

Dates: 5/12/2017

Event runs from 8am-1:30pm, (Not an 8:30am start as in the registration form) This event is a celebration of excellence in the Region. This prestigious award is bestowed upon districts and individuals nominated by their colleagues and peers as demonstrating innovation, best practices, and having implementing systemic change in teaching an learning. Join us in this celebration and find out what the secret is behind these success stories. New this year will be the student poster sessions where students will demonstrate how the work of these educators has impacted their learning experience. Keynote Speaker: Donnie Piercy, 5th Grade Teacher and Technology Integrator will share humorous stories about the "don'ts of ed tech" while discussing way to help students.
