We will examine the key components and timelines, with a particular focus on the planning elements that require significant lead time, such as effective communication strategies, data collection, and collaborative community engagement.
A primary theme will be exploring methods for involving district leadership and the wider community in this work. We will discuss how to use authentic stakeholder input to both assess past performance (per Section III of the NYSED guidance) and develop meaningful, district-specific goals for the future (Section IV).
Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the full ITP process, preparing them to begin the data collection, goal-setting, and action-planning work that will be covered in Sessions 2 and 3.

Note: This introductory session is open to all districts at no charge, and is a pre-requisite for participating in additional sessions in the series. Registered participants will receive Zoom connection information prior to session start.
