1. Youth Mental Health First Aid

YMHFA is designed to give adults who have contact with or work with young adults ages 12-18. This includes, but is not limited to law enforcement, EMS, parents, educators, counselors, neighbors, community leaders, etc. You will learn key skills to help a youth or teen who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches a 5-step action plan which offers initial help to young people showing signs of a mental illness or in a crisis, and connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social, or self help care. Materials are provided and include a 200-page manual and list of local resources. All participants will receive a three-year certificate upon completion of the workshop (2-4hr sessions). Participants must complete the evaluation in MyLearningPlan. Facilitated by Arlene Pisano pisanoYMHFA@gmail.com and Karen Roselle kroselleYMHFA@gmail.com.
