The Child Accounting Fundamentals course will train new Child Accounting staff on specific Child Accounting collection information and tasks. The course covers outplaced students, verifying 1305/1306 students' documentation, reviewing policies and procedures related to Child Accounting and registration, 4605s, homelessness, and guardianship affidavits. The course also prepares participants to upload files into PIMS.

This course includes two days of classroom instruction and one day of customized coaching. Classroom instruction includes interactive presentations, hands-on activities, and group discussions. Coaching includes 1-to-1 support with your LEAs PIMS data and Student Information System. Coaching can be broken down into three 2.5-hour sessions or five 1.5-hour sessions scheduled at your convenience. Coaching hours must be used within 90 days of classroom instruction.

The course provides participants with an introduction to PIMS, an explanation of the PIMS manuals and calendars, uploading data to PIMS, PIMS Resources, PASecureID, PIMS Reports V2, Submitting ACSs, and Excel file guidance.

This course includes two days of live classroom instruction and one day of customized coaching. Classroom instruction includes interactive presentations, hands-on activities, and group discussions. Coaching includes 1-to-1 support with your LEAs PIMS data and Student Information System.
