Join us for an engaging journey into the Modern Classrooms Project instructional model, designed to empower educators to effectively meet the diverse needs of all students, including ELLs and students with IEPs/504 plans. This blended course combines live sessions with asynchronous work, allowing participants to explore the principles of blended instruction, self-paced learning, and mastery-based learning, all while leveraging educational technology to support personalized, individualized learning.
The course will start with a live session where participants will gain an overview of the Modern Classrooms Project instructional model and its transformative impact on teaching and learning. In a concluding final live session, participants will reflect on their learning experiences, share their newly developed materials, and collaboratively discuss strategies for implementation in their own classrooms.
This course is designed to provide educators with the tools and confidence to enhance their teaching practices and foster student success through the effective use of technology. Topics include:
1. Learning Management System (LMS) Proficiency: Participants will develop the ability to organize, deliver, and manage self-paced, blended learning content using a digital platform (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology).
2. Instructional Video Creation: Educators will learn to design and produce short, effective instructional videos using tools like Screencast and the like for students.
3. Digital Formative Assessment: Educators will use digital tools (e.g., Edpuzzle, Google Forms, Kahoot, or Quizizz) to create formative assessments that provide real-time feedback and track student mastery.
