This series supports co-teaching teams in strengthening and implementing effective Integrated ENL Co-Teaching practices across content-area classrooms. Grounded in the NYS Co-Teaching Topic Briefs and the work of Maria Dove and Andrea Honigsfeld, including their text, Co-Teaching for English Learners: A Guide to Collaborative Planning, Instruction, Assessment, and Reflection, the series provides opportunities for new and returning participants to examine current practices, collaborate, and apply their learning.

Session 1 will define the purpose and principles of Integrated ENL Co-Teaching and examine partnership roles, structures, and practices.

Session 2 will explore collaborative planning routines, language and content objectives, high-impact instructional strategies, and scaffolds.

Session 3 will focus on implementing and refining co-teaching practices through the purposeful use of co-teaching models, assessments and accommodations, and AI tools that support planning and instruction for multilingual learners.

ENL teachers are strongly encouraged to attend with a co-teacher to strengthen their collaboration and plan upcoming lessons and units. Dually certified ENL and content-area teachers are also encouraged to register.

All participants must bring a device to access materials and participate in activities.

Minimum Enrollment:
Courses require at least 10 participants. A decision about cancellation will be made one week in advance, and registrants will be notified.
