 Empowering Modern Learners Summer Conference 2018
   Join us this summer at Central Peel Secondary School for our 2nd Annual Empowering Modern Learners Conference exploring modern learning, literacy, numeracy, inquiry and so much more! This two-day conference will be taking place on Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24, 2018. Attendees may choose to attend on a single day or both days.

We will be offering a variety of learning opportunities including:
- Keynote speakers (John Spencer, Gillian Judson and Douglas Clements)
- 5 minute Sparks
- 40 & 90 minute professional learning sessions
- Interactive Learning Playgrounds
- Educational Vendors
- Your choice of a professional resource on the day(s) you attend

While there is no fee for this conference we are requiring a $50.00 deposit upon registration. This deposit will only be charged to those who register but do not attend the conference no exceptions.

If you choose to pay by cheque, we will need to receive it by August 17th. Please make cheque payable to Peel District School Board and sent it to CBO- CISS, Attn: Sophia Hu.

NOTE: If you do not receive a confirmation email from, you are missing a step and you will need to go through the registration again.

Terms and Conditions

There is no fee for this conference, however there is a $25.00 (total) deposit. This deposit will be on hold and will not be processed if you attend the conference on the days you selected. If you register and do not attend on the days selected, the deposit is non-refundable and will be processed.

All session listings are accurate at the time of posting. However, all sessions, including times, dates, locations and costs are subject to change.

Cancellation notification up to 7 days prior to first day of session will result in a 100% reimbursement, otherwise your deposit will not be refunded.
No refund will be issued if cancellation notification is received less than 7 days prior to start of session. If you are unable to attend and wish to send a designate in your place, please contact Loreen Noronha at 905-890-1010 Ext. 2550.
