Asbestos LEA Designee Workshop

Course Time:  9:00 am - 1:00 pm (continental breakfast & lunch provided)

Location:  Capital Region BOCES, 900 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Schoharie Conference Room(s)

Cost:  $150 (participating)/$175 (non-participating)

The EPA requires that each Local Educational Agency (LEA) appoint a person to ensure that schools comply with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA, 40 CFR 763).  This training meets the EPA's requirements for training the designess must receive to oversee inspections, re-inspections, surveillances and management of asbestos in schools

The participating rate will be charged for school personnel that currently purchase the Capital Region BOCES Health-Safety-Risk Management service. All others (including non-participating districts, other BOCES, municipalities, private organizations, etc.) will be charged the non-participating rate.
