Countywide 2019 Leveraging Social Emotional Learning to Promote Equity | Location: Coatesville Area High School, 1445 Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320
Description: Educators are embracing social and emotional learning (SEL) as a way to support the whole child and equip students for success. Rigorous research shows that SEL can lead to improved academic achievement, employment, health, and well-being. For schools, such benefits can help reduce opportunity gaps and create more supportive learning environments. This year's conference offers participants an opportunity to explore research and evidence-based strategies that can be implemented in their classrooms. Intentionally chosen resources and instructional practices will be highlighted throughout the day that will help every professional integrate SEL and equitable practices in their work.
