Tom Murphy, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Murphy has served as the CEO of MyLearningPlan since its inception in 1999. Previously, he founded Imperial Software Systems Inc. and over a period of 16 years grew the company from startup to over $50 million a year in sales. Imperial Software Systems Inc. offered comprehensive instructional and administrative technology services to educational and government institutions in the US, Caribbean, Canada, and Ireland. Mr. Murphy studied Computer Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology and is widely regarded as an authority on the meaningful use of technology in education.
Ms. Combs served as the President of Imperial Software Systems Inc. from 1998 to 2002, and then President of My Learning Plan Inc. since then. She joined the company to develop a comprehensive professional development practice which led to multiple leadership positions within the company prior to the Presidency. Previously, Ms. Combs was the Director of Instructional and Administrative Technology at a large school district on Long Island. She has also been a classroom teacher at all grade levels. Ms. Combs has a Master's Degree from Teachers College at Columbia University and is a certified school district administrator.
